And…..the greatly anticipated trending bags part 2 is here, welcome back! Without hesitation we introduce the next four trending styles of 2023 so far:

NOVEL BUCKETS

Practical size and shape but make it fun! This trend is all about funking up the loved bucket bag, be it in different colours, jazzy patterns or experimenting with their materials.

No matter the occasion or time of year there's a novel bucket that will work, wherever you go and whatever you wear. Prada have gone for the more subtle bucket, experimenting with a variety of materials, whereas Gucci have gone to town with fun and ‘out there’ prints and colours.

SHRUNKEN TOTES

Tote bags have been around for some time, and they are known as one of the most practical bags out there, with canvas the signature tote material. Everything shrinks as seasons and trends go on and so has the tote with the introduction of a shrunken smaller version of the classic and much loved bag.

Although its practicality may decrease, its wearability and style is improving, with micro and mini bags being the gimmick and fun trend of 2023. But don’t worry these shrunken totes are still of a size to transport around all your essentials.

BAGUETTE SHAPED

One trend that keeps recurring as 2023 progresses is the Baguette shaped bag. This shape was made iconic by Fendi with their baguette bag, with its 25th year anniversary this year. The style focuses on a snug under-the-shoulder carry and generally a flap closure.

Ultimately it is a style you cannot go wrong with and that you will wear throughout the seasons, as you transition from day to night. If Fendi baguettes are not your thing, we offer (alongside the Fendi iconic bag) different versions of the baguette style, from Dior, Marc Jacobs to Louis Vuitton and Chanel.

Y2K NOSTALGIA

Everyone loves some y2k noughties nostalgia, and for this reason alone we can’t see this recurring trend going anywhere anytime soon! Y2K nostalgia focuses on fun shapes, materials and colours, taking classic bags and turning them into 00’s fun.

We look to Prada’s staple reissue bag that has been brought out in lilac and other fun colours, or look to Fendi with their now fluffy Peekaboo. When mentioning y2k you cannot not mention the Dior saddle as it has become a bag synonymous with y2k and 00’s styling with its proud and infamous return to the streets and shops.
