What’s inside the Designer Exchange Team’s Bags!?

Yes, we’ve seen the Tiktoks, the Instagram posts or the trusty Vogue Youtube videos showing what’s inside celebrities or people who seem to have their lives together handbags. We envy how neat and tidy they mysteriously keep them and somehow know where everything is…

This week we dug deep and asked the team what’s inside their trusty handbag (the more realistic version). Safe to say we have learnt a thing or two about the team, from their favourite lip balms to items that have been in there waiting for their removal since 2018.

My gorgeous little vintage Gucci bag is actually from Designer Exchange (not that i'm biassed or anything). My Gucci is one of about ten in the office, safe to say we all love ourselves a vintage find. This bag is not only effortlessly stylish but also on the more affordable end of designer bags. In my bag is a LV key holder, that houses all my keys and work fobs, a NEED not a want. I also carry my trusty SIS water bottle with me everywhere I go because you have to stay hydrated, of course. You will always find an inhaler in my bag, because (I think the quote is) it ain't easy being wheezy. Alongside my inhaler, I can’t leave without a pair of sunnies in my bag. I bought these VEHLA ones second hand two years ago and they rarely leave the bag now! They are the perfect shape, style and a summer must have. Airpods, of course, as I don't know about you, but I can't commute to work without a podcast in my ear. Makeup wise, my bag is never stocked in that department, but thanks to Emma, I now carry round a Fenty lip gloss, does that make me a certified makeup girl now? And of course, how could I forget my book, a Colleen Hoover special.

Okay so my trusty Marc Jacobs Tote Bag feels like a Mary Poppins bag that seems to never end. Although, I try to keep it as neat as possible… You can be the judge. Let’s get started.

Firstly I am always carrying an abundance of lip glosses because for some reason one or two is never enough. My favourites are the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Oil and the Rhode Lip Treatment at the moment. Runners up go to a tub of Vaseline which has been in there for months and a tinted balm from Lanolips. A book for on the go, I try to read a bit everyday but sometimes I am guilty of carrying it around in the hopes something comes over me and I complete it in a reasonable amount of time. Then the standard, house keys, comb, umbrella (thanks to the temperamental weather in London) and my phone.

My bag is a Goyard Artois MM which I purchased from Designer Exchange last year. I never used to be a big bag girly but now I don’t know how I’d live without it. It's a perfect work bag and I’m always carrying my laptop around in it. I am guilty though when it comes to looking after it, it will soon be looking like Mary-Kate's Birkin.

My main essential for my bag is lip balm, I cannot leave the house without it and if I do it's not a good day, currently using Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream as its a life saver. My favourite thing in there is my Chanel card holder, I’ve had it for 3 years now and I don’t plan on replacing it any time soon. And then, we have airpods, hand cream, a book, flat keys (sometimes), a cute Chanel travel perfume and water ALWAYS.
