Buying and Selling Designer | A Fashion Fix

Monday, 24 February 2020

In early 2020, we invited fashion icon and influencer 'A Fashion Fix' to pick out a piece from the Designer Exchange collection and review their experience. You can read her article below:

''As you may already be aware, we're in the process of buying a house. I say process, we've sold our house and are frantically on the hunt for the dream abode. Anyway, with that said buying full priced designer isn't in my budget right now. Each purchase of mine at the moment has to be thoroughly thought through.

So when Designer Exchange got in touch and asked if I'd like to work with them I jumped at the chance. If you're not already familiar with the name, Designer Exchange buy and sell designer products. If you're in the market for a designer purchase but aren't ready to pay full price but would consider a second hand purchase, this is for you.

If like me, you have some designer pieces to sell Designer Exchange will buy these items off you for cash or in exchange for a voucher to spend on site for a higher price. This is a similar process to the other websites out there that will sell your items for you, however Designer Exchange pay immediately regardless of a sell.

For me, this means I can send off my Gucci Dionysus that hasn't seen the light of day for a few years and pocket the cash immediately, or put the voucher towards another item I've had my eye on for a while without forking out any extra cash I should be saving for the house. Genius!

For this collaboration I was kindly given a voucher to spend at my own will. (However I will still be using their selling service as I have a lot of items gathering dust in my forever overflowing wardrobe!)

I purchased the Celine Trapeze bag and the Gucci lace Princetown loafers, both in immaculate condition as stated. The Gucci loafers actually hadn't ever been worn!''
