This Mother’s Day, we launched a campaign that spoke volumes. We reached out to our Designer Exchange families and asked how they would describe the mother figures in their lives, and the responses were truly inspiring. It was eye-opening to discover the many ways people view their motherly figures and how unique each mother can be. We heard powerful stories of strength, resilience, and love.

We also celebrated the incredible fashion sense that makes each mother’s style one of a kind. The diversity in fashion perspectives was a beautiful reminder of how personal and unique style can be for everyone. We were reminded of the timeless value of meaningful pieces passed down through generations. Whether a cherished heirloom or a simple piece with profound significance, these items carry stories that are forever treasured.

Angela, our Director, described her late mother as a strong, inspiring woman who imparted invaluable life lessons. She was a true role model, showing the importance of independence and empowering women to embrace their inner strength as 'being a Mother is a one of the most rewarding emotional roles a Woman will ever do in her life'. Similar themes emerged throughout our interviews with Dom, our CEO, describing his mother as a constant source of support in his life, always there to provide encouragement and instill the confidence and belief he needed to pursue any goal he set for himself. It's true, Mother's are the glue that holds us and our families together. We were graced with the Spencer family's two generations of mothers, with Hannah, the Marketing Manager, describing her grandmother as the matriarch who keeps the entire family together.

Even with mother's who are no longer with us or those who are distant, we’ve learned that we can always rely on the support of our mother's, near or far. Chika, our Admin Assistant, shared beautiful words about her mother, emphasising that mother's are the only figures who truly understand us better than we understand ourselves, and we believe this resonates with many. After all, we are made by our mother's, so it’s only natural that we know each other inside and out. A theme which resonated with Hannah, who described herself as a 'carbon copy' of her mother.

After such a beautiful day hearing about the many different types of mother's, one key theme stood out: our mother's are always here for us, offering the love, support, and confidence we need to navigate life. A big thank you to all the mother's who participated in this campaign, and a heartfelt Happy Mother's Day from our Preloved community.
