As the curtains close on another awards, we’re giving you one final fashion roundup for the 2024 red carpets. The grand finale of awards season and the most anticipated show in Hollywood - The Oscars. Awarding some of the movie industry’s biggest on-screen stars the Oscars attracts millions of viewers from all over the world, but we had our eye on one thing, the fashion! The Oscars red carpet never fails to impress with all the glitz and glamour of Hollywood’s elite in one spot, for one night only. This year’s Oscars definitely didn’t disappoint so we’re going to talk you through some of the people that we think stole the spotlight this year, not for their acting but for their impeccable fashion choices.

Anya Taylor-Joy

Known for her leading role in award-winning show “The Queen’s Gambit”, Anya Taylor-Joy’s red carpet look made our jaws drop with this stunning gown courtesy of Dior Haute Couture. Taylor-Joy, although not nominated, made her debut at the Oscars this year and she was certainly a stand out in terms of fashion. Her gown was taken from an original 1950 Christian Dior inspired by Botticelli’s “Birth of Venus”. The scalloped floor-length gown was embellished with crystals and had a stunning glistening finish. The look was pulled together with Tiffany diamond encrusted jewellery from their Blue Book collection, which was also inspired by the renaissance image of Venus. With the premieres for Dune 2 happening this month we can’t wait to see what looks she brings to the next red carpet.

Colman Domingo

Colman Domingo, nominated for best actor for his performance in “Rustin”, stunned on the Red Carpet wearing Louis Vuitton and accessorised by Omega. He proved that wearing a black suit at an awards show can be just as innovative, exciting and fashion-forward as the women on the carpet, especially with the right accessories. Domingo paired his suit with Cowboy Boots, following the trend that was most recently seen on the Louis Vuitton men’s fashion week runway earlier this year. Rather than a normal tie, he opted for a bow tie with a spiky crystalised centre adding a touch of glamour to his outfit that was worthy of the red carpet. Colman Domingo has a certain flair to his awards show looks and he’s consistently been one of our favourites in red carpet fashion this year.

Emma Stone

Another star who turned heads at the Oscars this year was Emma Stone. The starlet who won best actress for her leading role in new movie “Poor Things” stunned on stage and on the red carpet in this gorgeous Louis Vuitton gown. This mint peplum gown with a long train was a custom made piece. It took inspiration from the Victorian era as a tribute to the 11-time nominated film “Poor Things”. The material was embossed with a shell-like pattern, which was subtle but gave the overall look a unique flair; it was the perfect dress for Stone’s big night at the Oscars. Her minimal accessories were also from Louis Vuitton which included a silver necklace with a 30-carat yellow diamond pendant, which perfectly tied the look together.
